Static Rope

Unlike Dynamic Ropes, which can stretch up to 40% during a fall, Static Rope offers maximum strength, low elongation commonly, and minimal stretch (typically less than 5%) when placed under a large load.  For this reason, Static Rope is ideal for rescue work, caving, tree climbing, hauling gear, and more.  

SGT KNOTS Canyon Dry 9mm Static Rope w/ Teflon Eco Coating is a lightweight, small-diameter polyamide static rope for caving and canyoning but should never be used for top or lead climbing.  The Canyon Static Rope is available in lengths ranging from 40m, 60m, or 100m and is available in a bright orange/white color pattern.

SGT KNOTS Static Ropes feature the same patented Tendon technology in our Dynamic Ropes that reduce sheath slippage to zero and meet the strict requirements for certification under the UIAA (International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation) to ensure your safety.
