Nylon is the perfect material for an all-purpose utility rope for indoor and outdoor use. It features elasticity for shock absorption and excellent tensile strength, with a durable resistance to abrasions, chemicals, extreme weather, sunlight degradation, and moisture.
Our Twisted Nylon Rope features elastic properties and great shock absorption. When wet, nylon fibers shrink which reduces their strength by approximately 15%. Nylon fibers are engineered with high abrasion resistance, which grants nylon rope the ability to handle a variety of weather conditions very well without deteriorating. Nylon also features some UV resistant properties, which means that leaving nylon rope in the sunlight won’t degrade the line as quickly as others, such as polypropylene lines.
Uses: Because of it’s high elasticity and ability to absorb shock well, nylon rope is a common choice for mooring lines and towing situations. Also, excellent in the forest!
*Pro Tip: Melt the ends of nylon rope when cutting to prevent unraveling or fraying*
