An all-purpose utility twine perfect for many indoor and outdoor applications. Pressure dyed black using a unique process to ensure color penetration down to the core.  We cover our long-lasting bank line in a protective tar coating that amplifies resistance to environmental wear and tear.

Nylon is one of the strongest and most popular materials on the market for ropes, cords, and twines.  These smooth synthetic fibers are highly resistant to moisture, temperature, chemicals, UV rays, abrasions, and most weather.  Flexible with a slight stretch to provide shock absorption from heavy load bearings.  Nylon performs better and longer than natural rope fibers like cotton and manila.

Our general purpose nylon twine can serve hundreds of different purposes:  gear bundles, crafting, tie-down, home improvement, landscaping, and construction.  Its strength and versatility make it a must-have in your backpack, bug-out bag, workplace, or workshop.

Tar is sticky and sticky is good.

Lashing is the main use for this stuff and it sticks so well to the rope or line or even to itself when I add decorative detail on wood or metal. I found a neat trick to remember the line sizes. I take the label when it arrives and roll it inside the tube and tape it in place. That way I know what size to order next time. But anyway, it’s so versatile I use it everywhere.

    Tarred bank line

I love this stuff. If I have time and appropriate I skip using tape on the ends of my lines and do a lashing with tarred bank line. Yes, it’s time consuming but I treat my lines with more respect when I’ve taken the time to do this. Then I just use it nearly everywhere I need small stuff.

    Tip 'o the iceberg

I'm gonna order the next size up, too. With 2 different sizes, I think I can build or fix any bushcraft stuff I need.

    Best quality tarred line

I've used a lot of tarred line over the years for miscellaneous tasks and THIS is the best I've used. I recommend this product.

    Tarred Black Twine

The tarred twine was exactly what I needed for lashings on a bamboo fence. The lashings are still nice and tight, now in season #2. A good product. I was very happy with Sgt Knots! Craig Seattle
