Farmer's Loop

The Farmer’s Loop creates a mid-rope loop quickly and conveniently. Strain may applied from the loop to either end or between the two ends.

The Farmer’s Loop is also used in Climbing, Scouting, and Boating. However, the same purpose appears to be achieved better by the more compact Alpine Butterfly Loop which is also easier to tie.
