What is Polyethylene?

Polyethylene is the most used plastic in the world today.  After being aligned by stretching, polyethylene is extremely strong.  When made into a rope product, polyethylene is buoyant and does not absorb water.  Thanks to its plastic base, it also stands up to abrasion, which is another reason why it is an excellent choice for water and boating applications.  Polyethylene Rope is generally more flexible and more elastic than Polypropylene Rope, but it does have a lower melting point in high-heat environments.
