SGT KNOTS UHMWP Hollow Braid Rope (HMPE) is a general purpose utility rope, and the popular choice for hunters, campers, crafters, and outdoorsmen.  Built using top quality HMPE, a lightweight synthetic fiber 15 times stronger than steel on a weight to strength ratio.

Used to build tons of useful tools, including whoopie slings, lift slings, guylines, towing lines, tie-downs, and more!  Best of all, HMPE is both lighter and stronger than standard paracord, floats on water, and features excellent abrasion resistance.

With a tensile strength of 1/8" - 1980 lbs, 3/16" - 4400 lbs and 1/4" - 7500 pounds, the HMPE rope offers extraordinary strength while being incredibly lightweight. Compared to steel, HMPE has a higher strength-to-weight ratio, giving you both power and convenience.

I used this line to make lazy jacks on my sailboat, so far So good. would buy again.

Fits the bill

So far, my experience is good. I use it primarily to make light, emergency slings (with a spliced eye on each end) for rappelling. I used a load cell to test eye to eye breaking strength, and at 2700 lbs, the strength is on a par with Amsteel 1/8". It splices easily with a D-splicer. There is some sort of urethane dye-carrier on it, and one spool I received was actually still slightly tacky from application. I comes "flatter" than Amsteel, but that is an advantage is some applications.
