Multi-Filament Polypropylene (MFP) solid braid rope has long been a favorite among horse handlers, so much so that it's commonly called "Derby Rope." Lighter in weight and lower in price than nylon and polyester ropes, MFP rope also has high resistance to rot and moisture, is low-stretch, holds knots well, has a high-tensile strength, and is machine washable. SGT KNOTS Solid Braid Rope / Derby Rope is also manufactured in a manner that keeps it free from any potentially hazardous chemicals and dyes, making this rope perfectly safe for use around livestock and other animals.

Derby Rope's soft feel is another factor that has made it a favorite rope in ranches and farms, on boats, around the house, and even in the bedroom (or whatever room you head to when your kinks involve knots). MFP solid braid rope is also used in many decorative purposes, and is used by film and theatre technicians for a variety of on-set and backstage tasks.     Rope purchase

    rope was not what I needed but not your fault I need something soft but large enough to use for lead lines for a mule I believe it is called deck rope but not sure your company was great

    Great all around useful rope

    I utilize this rope in an entertainment setting to pull chain motors into the air as an Entertainment Rigger for IATSE Local 322. This rope has performed well so far and I hope to get many concert seasons out of it. I enjoy the fact that Sgt. Knots had this available in other colors besides black! Would absolutely buy again. The customer service you receive from Sgt. Knots is catered to each customer. Look for my other review of their Arborist line of ropes.

    Great quality rope but the order was not filled the way I ordered it

    They sent more than I ordered which would normally be a good thing but the added length made the project more difficult. In this case I ended up with a lot of short useless pieces after cutting the pieces that came too long.
