1. Cut Your Twine to the Appropriate Size

It’s always better to be safe than sorry, so cut a piece of twine five times the length of the longest side of your present. This will ensure you have enough twine to learn how to tie twine around a box and into a bow. 

2. Tie Twine Around the Present

Before you get to the bow part, you need to know how to tie twine around a box. Here’s how to do it: 

1. Lay your twine out on the ground in a straight line.
2. Set your package upside-down in the middle of the twine, and make sure it’s centered.
3. Take one end of the twine in each hand and cross it over the center of your package.
4. Twist the twine 90 degrees and switch hands, laying the twine on the ground near the top and bottom of the package.
