How to Make a Macrame Plant Hanger
You don't have to have a merit badge in underwater basket weaving to make a macrame plant hanger. In fact, this was our very first attempt at creating one! Our 3/16” Twisted Cotton was used for this project but we will be doing more with our dedicated Macrame Cord Cotton Twine in upcoming tutorials.
You’ll start with the double half knot twist demonstrated below. You may want to attach the top loop to a metal key ring so it's easier to hang once you're finished.
From there, untwist each of the strands and tape the ends. Don't skip this step! The photo below lays out the rest of the steps for you, so you can easily download it and save the instructions for later.
Make sure your bottom knot is nice and secure, then hang and place your plant in it's beautiful new home!
