At 1/4" (6mm) thick—compared to the 5/32" diameter of standard 550 paracord—this cord provides the same versatility of your typical high-quality cord, but has a bit more heft and a higher tensile strength. Three 4-ply cabled nylon strands (a total of twelve strands altogether) make up the inner core of this Paramax paracord, and as with all military-grade paracord these inner strands can be separated and put to a variety of camping and survival uses, including fishing lines, trip wires, and more. The same kernmantle 32-strand outer sheathing you'd find on 550 paracord adds strength and keeps your paracord's inner core protected.
